Maya and the Lobster Parade

At dusk, a long single-file line of spiny lobsters marches across the seafloor — antennae to tail, dozens of them, all heading the same way. After a big autumn storm, Maya spots the strange parade from the dock and wonders where they’re going. Armed with her notebook and a storm-tracking chart, Maya forms a hypothesis, tests it against the shifting currents, and discovers the real reason behind the lobster march: safety in numbers on a storm-triggered mass migration. A 62-page full-color illustrated island mystery for ages 5–9 by Madison Butler, with real Caribbean spiny-lobster migration science (including how storms cue their famous single-file marches).
